Once again this year, Handelsblatt, in cooperation with the U.S. trade publication “Best Lawyers,” has identified the most renowned German lawyers. PATZINA LOTZ, a Frankfurt-based commercial law firm specializing in dispute resolution, is again represented this year by two attorneys.

Dr. Reinhard Patzina is already represented for the third time among the best lawyers in insurance law and is this year’s Lawyer of the Year for Hesse in this field, Thorsten Lotz was awarded for the second time for the field of tax law.

The selection process for “Best Lawyers” has been transparent for more than 30 years and follows a tried and tested procedure: first, lawyers are nominated for inclusion in Best Lawyers on the basis of a recommendation. Lawyers listed in the handbook then select from the nominees those in their area of expertise whom they recommend outside their own firm in the event that they are unable to handle a mandate themselves due to time constraints or a conflict of interest. The feedback is then independently analyzed and evaluated by Best Lawyers.
