JUVE Handbook: Ranking Insurance Litigation
(Volume 5 of 5 in 2021/2022)

Comment: The Frankfurt firm focuses on close integration of insurance, tax and corporate law. The tax expertise of partners Lotz and Matz in particular makes the firm an attractive advisor for tax advisors on liability issues. Here, the experienced lawyers often have to deal with special issues. This includes advising a tax consulting company on damages arising from an incorrect determination of profits and limited interest deductibility or for a tax consultant on incorrect advice in the conversion of a sole proprietorship into a limited liability company. The mandate from an auditing company on the service clause in the area of D&O insurance illustrates that even large entities rely on the team’s expertise. Various mandates for tax advisors/auditors in proceedings against insolvency administrators for delaying insolvency show that the firm is well positioned with the increasing importance of the topic in connection with the economic effects of the Corona pandemic.
